Battlescar have developed a curriculum based education program covering a wide variety of subjects current to today’s school programmes. These range from the early medieval period of Vikings, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce and extends to the Jacobite period of the 17th and 18th century. Every portrayed character has been researched in depth and we guarantee you that the information given in each presentation is precise and accurate.
Our highly skilled team of entertainers have expert knowledge in all subjects and travel the length and breadth of the country, visiting schools from all social and religious backgrounds. The program consists of story-telling from bygone times and involves the children in each presentation, making them part of the experience. This helps to bring the subject to life and gives the children the exciting opportunity to dress as the characters, experience the weight of the weaponry and armour and have a full, hands-on experience of what life was like in the past.
This is an exciting and innovative way for children to learn history.
Once the presentation is complete, we end with a question/answer session; giving the children the opportunity to find out more about these important areas of Scottish history.
